The 45th FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championship will take place in Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA from September 13–18, 2026, bringing together elite fly anglers from around the world to compete in this prestigious international event.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Idaho’s famous rivers and lakes, including waters near the Snake River region, the week-long championship celebrates both technical skill and sportsmanship in fly fishing.

Whether you’re a competitor or a spectator, this championship highlights Idaho Falls as a world-class destination for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Sunday Day 1: Registration and Opening

14:00 – 16:00 Registration of teams and check-in (rooms available from 15:00)
15:00 – 17:00 Captains’ meeting
18:15 Parade of Nations (Starting from Hotels)
18:45 Opening ceremony and opening banquet
19:45 Conservation Symposium
21:00 Return to Hotels

Monday Day 2: First Session of Competition

05:30 – 09:00 Breakfast
06:00 – 07:00 Bus departures from the hotel
09:00 – 13:00 Duration of sessions (3 hour sessions)
12:30 – 14:00 Lunch at venues (packed or warm – details will follow)
13:30 – 17:00 Bus transfers to the hotel (venues are 1:30-2:00 driving)
18:00 – 20:00 Dinner at WestBank Center

Tuesday Day 3: Second Session of Competition

5:30 – 09:00 Breakfast
06:00 – 07:00 Bus departures from the hotel
09:00 – 13:00 Duration of sessions (3 hour sessions)
12:30 – 14:00 Lunch at venues (packed or warm – details will follow)
13:30 – 17:00 Bus transfers to the hotel (venues are 1:30-2:00 driving)
