Looking for a unique dining experience that can enthrall the whole family this winter?
Penny’s Pub the new gourmet wood fired pizza kitchen from Moose Creek Ranch in Victor, Idaho is a slice of mountain culture found nowhere else.Â
Known as an authentic dude ranch getaway tucked in at the base of Teton Pass in Victor, Moose Creek Ranch provides the thrill and ruggedness of the Tetons without sacrificing any of the luxuries of vacation. Practically equidistant from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee Resort, Moose Creek, a year round glamping resort is known to many as a gateway to the backcountry.Â
Completed in 2025, Penny’s Pub is the newest amenity to match the creekside sauna and the many adjacent trails. The laid back atmosphere embodies European hut culture with a focus on high-quality ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is built around three pillars: handmade wood-fired pizza, fresh salads, and soft serve ice cream.Â
Penny’s artisan pizzas begin with dough fermented for up to three days, creating a lighter texture, better flavor, and those perfect signature bubbles. The pub sources ingredients from local producers whenever possible, from Montana whole wheat flour to fresh greens from just down the road.
From a classic Margherita to the Trail Boss—a recipe of San Marzano tomato sauce, pesto drizzle, mozzarella, local spicy sausage and shaved fennel—there’s something to be found in this mountain hideaway for the most discerning eater, gourmand to a picky kiddo. YTT’s pick: try the Idaho Spud pizza with garlic cream sauce, mozzarella, crispy potatoes, whipped ricotta with a balsamic reduction sauce. Pizza will never taste the same after a trip to Penny’s Pub.Â
The pub’s namesake come from a ranch regular and neighbor, Penny, a Great Pyrenees raised on the nearby Siddoway sheep ranch. These days, she prefers patrolling Moose Creek Ranch, especially when there’s pizza (or children with snacks).
