Halloween is one of the most unique ways to explore the Yellowstone Teton Territory after dark. With straw mazes made of stacked bales that twist and turn, you pick pumpkin patches and the storied Haunted Mill, there are endless frights and family fun to be found all month long.
In St. Anthony, check out the family-owned The Escape Straw Maze. Open six days a week, The Escape Straw Maze includes a plenty of activities for the littles in your family to experience the feel of the farm with a farm animal petting zoo, tractors and corn pit. When darkness falls, Rexburg’s Haunted Straw Maze→ will challenge the most fearless as shadows lurk with creepers, dead ends and monsters overhead. A great group outing or adventurous date night for endless jump scares and bouts of laughter, the haunted maze is an annual must-do for kids of all ages. After dark, end your ah-maze-ing Rexburg experience with a “evening stroll” through the Haunted Forest as the family of spooks, ghosts, witches, creepy clowns and scarecrows do their best to frighten forest-goers. The Straw Maze takes an average of 30-45 minutes to go through. The openings are wide and the hallways are stroller and wheelchair accessible! Parking is also provided in the field with The Straw Maze.
The Haunted Mill is an infamous attraction in Teton. Opened to the public in 1997, the property has been spooking friends and family for decades with a mix of local lore and historical fact. Some legends claim a witch haunts the grounds or that the daughter of the flour mill owner wanders around in a white dress, and some go back as far back to the mining party that murdered homesteaders in hopes of prospecting for gold.
