RV Travel Comes with Luxury Options

Once school heads back for the semester mid-month, empty nesters rejoice in the quiet and more available campgrounds to explore the Yellowstone Teton Territory.
The cooler evenings bring some relief from the late-season sunshine— it’s a perfect time to hike, fish, or go for some late-season riding, and even better, you don’t have to rush, especially when you fall travel plans include an RV.
A few spotlights from around the region include Mountain River Ranch, offering RV spaces, a large lodge, cabins, and teepees. Open May through October, with restrooms and showers; Palisades Creek Campground: Located in a scenic area, providing a rustic camping experience; and Valley View Park RVÂ & Camping Near West Yellowstone: Conveniently located for exploring the Yellowstone area.
And in downtown Idaho Falls, a one-of-a-kind experience awaits the motor tourist, a converted drive-in movie theater turned luxury RV park.
Established in 1950, Sky-Vu Drive-In Theater had been a local icon, providing family entertainment for years. The property is nestled beside the Snake River and the new owners, two families, have honored the spirit of the old drive-in, which brought families and friends together for decades for the ultimate camp experience.
Cool Nights, Quiet Trails
Perfect Camping.

Idaho Falls Luxury RV Park includes direct access to the Snake River and the Green Belt, two pickleball courts, a dog park, a playground, the largest RV spaces in all of East Idaho, free bike rentals, site-specific WIFI, and the region’s largest outdoor community fireplace.Â
Other options include Teton Valley Resort and Moose Creek Ranch in Teton Valley, 7N Ranch in Ririe, Heise Hot Springs in Ririe, as well as Yellowstone RV Park campsites at Macks Inn in Island Park.
Yellowstone RV Park in Island Park is only 25 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park and walking distance from Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. And even better, the park puts visitors near one of the most striking views in the region from Sawtelle Peak, looking down at Henry’s Lake to the north. To the east, the Grand Teton Mountains stand in full view. The altitude is about 10,000 feet, so expect to dress for cold and windy conditions. The road is gravel but wide and well-maintained. The peak is only about 14 miles from our RV Park.
The convenient location of the Mack’s Inn RV Park, along with the onsite store that has everything from ice cream to books, ensures that your visit to the area can be spent more time taking in the late-season wildflowers and Sandhill Crane migration instead of determining where you can take the trash.
