Yurt So Good

Stay in the wild with your next overnight in the Yellowstone Teton Territory and have the yurt of your life and a night to remember! Discover Harriman State Park after dark and with all its winter activities under stars and in the round at the park yurts.

Nestled into a 16,000-acre wildlife refuge in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, there are 24 miles of groomed Nordic skiing trails, snowshoeing and fat biking awaiting winter enthusiasts hoping to catch Trumpeter Swans,the world’s largest waterfowl species, and other wintering wildlife enjoying the area’s year round water sources.

Upcoming events include a New Year’s Day guided snowshoe hike and ski tour. Free Access Day is on January 4, 10-3pm. All fees are waived for the day. There will be demos galore, hot chocolate and snow shoes are available for rental at the Visitor Center. Family winter ski passes can include up to 8 people and are only $100!

Located in the heart of Horseshoe Canyon→ in the Big Hole Mountains, the Horseshoe Yurt → is the ultimate mountain experience. Overlooking Teton Valley, the yurt provides prime access to adventure skiing, fatbike, or snowshoe on the ungroomed Forest Service roads above the yurt or try the groomed trail below the yurt. This unguided and un-hosted, basic winter rental is the ultimate disconnect for powderhounds.

This rustic accommodation can sleep six people with two bunk beds with double mattresses on the bottom and single beds on top, propane heating stove, propane cookstove, and all kitchen items. The yurt is available 11/22-5/1. If booking Friday night, you must also book Saturday night. The cost per night is $200 + fees and taxes. Check the calendar below and reserve your spot!
