Halloween Events in Idaho Falls

As the aspens lose their leaves and temps grow colder, there’s no better opportunity to lean into the lore of ghosts and old fashion jump scares! With activities for the little ghosts, the larger gremlins and the older vampires, everyone in the family will find ghoulish fun in Eastern Idaho.

Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park celebrates the season with a “merry not scary” Halloween family event for younger goblins and ghouls to dress up and explore the zoo like never before. Take in the thousands of lights and sculptures, activities and little one can collect treats along the way from community vendors. There’s three nights of Boo at Zoo, and it’s a howling good time!

Children 2 and under are free. Costume contests are nightly, at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on the main stage with prizes in each of the following categories: best family costume, animal costume and overall costume for age groups: 0-3, 4-6, & 7-11.
