We may say Old Man Winter but Yellowstone Teton Territory is always for the young at heart.

Grand Targhee Resort opens November 22nd and family passes are still on sale at Kelly Canyon Resort—the best night skiing experience to be had in the YTT. Kelly Canyon will be a whole new ski experience this winter with its new snow-making system in place. Grand Targhee’s Start Me Up package is an all inclusive experience to learning your way around the hill with 25% off ski or snowboard rentals, a lesson and Shoshone ticket. For more advanced powder hounds, book three nights and get a fourth free.

The temps have dropped, snow is falling and it’s time for you to start making your plans for your winter getaway in the Yellowstone Teton Territory. With 12 nonstop flights arriving at Idaho Falls Regional Airport from Oakland, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Dallas, Portland, Seattle, Phoenix and Orange County, getting here is one less thing you need to worry about. Fly in on the night of the Spud Kings hockey game and start enjoying your vacation minutes after you land.

Sports fans might also want to take note that coming off NCAA Tournament appearances each of the last three seasons, the NCAA Division I basketball teams, Boise State Broncos and Saint Mary’s Gaels will face off December 14 at the Mountain American Center.

Other holiday selections at the Mountain America Center include Mannheim Steamroller Christmas on December 15th, the live stage show of PAW Patrol Live! “Heroes Unite” December 21-22 and A Magical Cirque Christmas makes its debut on December 27th for an evening of spectacular feats, acrobatic antics and magical performances complete with holiday hilarity and music.

The Idaho Falls Arts Council will spread holiday cheer at The Colonial Theater with NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet on November 21 and at the Frontier Center with Celtic Woman: White Christmas Symphony Tour with the Idaho Falls Symphony on Monday, December 2. The all-female ensemble will perform favorite Yuletide songs and enthrall audiences of all ages with their holiday cheer.

Pickleville Christmas comes to Idaho Falls on December 12 with Juanito Bandito and the Shootout at Jingle Junction. A blend of music and comedy, Juanito Bandito delivers an unforgettable family-friendly Christmas experience as Juanito Bandito rides into Jingle Junction with a gang of former North Pole elves-turned-outlaws. Their dastardly mission: Steal Santa’s Naughty & Nice List!

Can’t wait until you get here? You can always check in with your favorite Yellowstone Teton Territory webcams to see the snowfall? Just don’t blame it on us if your boss catches you watching the live feed of Old Faithful.
