Rodeo Season Kicks Off with Inaugural Ridgeview Pro Rodeo in Driggs

With $250,000 in the purse, the inaugural year of the Ridgeview Pro Rodeo is garnering attention.

Bringing the sport’s elite Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) athletes to compete in Driggs at the Teton County Fairgrounds for the very first time, attendees can expect to see past National Finals Rodeo (NFR) qualifiers and champions competing for major payouts and valuable season points the weekend June 12 and 13. 

From the explosive power of bull riding to the precision of barrel racing, Ridge Pro says every event delivers high-stakes action and unforgettable moments.

The weekend will close with a live concert featuring country act, Midland. “From chart-topping hits to electrifying stage presence, Midland brings the perfect close to an incredible weekend of rodeo and community,” says Ridgeview’s organizers. But that’s just the start of rodeo season in the Yellowstone Teton Territory. Dubois, Idaho, is off the beaten path, but its rodeo is a YTT tradition for Idahoans.

Self-defined as the rodeo where “real cowboys come to play,” the event is held in mid-June over one weekend. Dubois comes alive over rodeo weekend and is a Clark County→ summer calendar highlight. The festivities kick off on Saturday with a parade featuring sheep riding, which adds a quirky and comedic twist to the traditional procession.

Following the parade, locals and visitors gather for a good ole’ hometown steak fry and street dance, where locals and visitors come together to celebrate in true Western style. On Sunday, the spirit of the West continues with Cowboy church, which precedes the main event. The rodeo action heats up quickly with old-fashioned steer riding, showcasing the bravery and skill of the participating cowboys and cowgirls. After the adrenaline rush of the rodeo, attendees can refuel with another delicious steak fry, a perfect way to cap off a weekend of Western fun. Where Western Tradition

Rides On.

 Whoopee Days Rodeo→ from Thursday through Sunday at the end of June. Start the event off with family night, where your whole crew will enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, and pre-rodeo shenanigans. On Friday,  prepare for raging bulls as Eastern Idaho’s top bull riders grab the rope and where fast-moving barrel horses race by. Round out the last day of the rodeo with a heart-pounding fireworks display after the sun sets. Whoopee Days is held at the Madison County Fairgrounds→ and is a sell-out event.
