Known to many as the largest as a seed potato district in the world, that soil makes it one of the last bastions of small farm communities and cache for finding local goods and wares. Farm fresh is a way of life in the YTT, and you can source it  from a variety of farmers, garlic, dairymen, jams, lavender, cheesemakers and more.

And what makes it so easy, is that nearly every day of the week, you can find local farmers markets to stock up for your Eastern Idaho adventures in Teton Valley, Rexburg and Idaho Falls. Discover the stories of the region, practices and family traditions. It’s in every bite. 

The Idaho Falls Farmers Market→ takes place Saturdays from 9am -2pm on Memorial Drive in downtown Idaho Falls. With over 130 vendors, shoppers will find  fresh locally grown fruits, and vegetables, meats, locally made foods, flowers, and unique craftsmanship. daho Falls offers something for everyone. Stroll through the Idaho Falls Farmers Market, explore fascinating exhibits at the Museum of Idaho, or enjoy a performance by the Idaho Falls Symphony. Spend some time in the lively district supported by the Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corp. For a great meal, stop by Burger Theory. When you’re ready to relax, the Hilton Garden Inn Idaho Falls makes a comfortable place to stay.

The Rexburg Farmers Market→ runs May 9 – September 26 on Fridays with a cornucopia of vendors selling produce, beef, eggs and jams, and up to 80 vendors some weeks with most vendors located within 60 miles of Rexburg. The market prioritizes agricultural products and handmade items while hosting free weekly community events and supporting local families through SNAP/EBT and produce match programs.

The Teton Valley Farmers Market→  takes place on Fridays 9-1 in Driggs at the Driggs City Center, on Tuesdays at the Victor City Park (July 8- September 9) from 4-7pm. With a large selection of organic and biodynamic options, everything from the charcuterie platter to the main course to the dessert could be sourced from this market. This season it’s a roster of 42 vendors.

Producers to look for around the YTT include Targhee Botanicals is a small woman owned business that specializes in handmaking self care products that are 100% nature derived and highly effective for healing. Food Dudes, the  family-run farm from Sugar City partnering with extended family, Joseph Ashcraft and his vegetable farm, Ashland Produce, in Ririe, the small organic lavender farm in Teton Valley, Idaho, Jackpine Lavender’s and Idaho Falls’ Italians take home staple, Mama Fla. Mama Fla produces from scratch authentic Italian products importing from Italy the best quality ingredients.
