Explore the Ashton-Tetonia Rail Trail

The Ashton-Tetonia Rail Trail Loop→ is best suited for experienced touring cyclists who want over 60 miles to test out their mettle. But for late fall walks and views of sweeping colors and Yellowstone Teton Territory geology, the Ashton-Tetonia trail can provide some of the most rewarding and expansive views of the Tetons.

The trail offers a diverse cycling experience, transitioning from the former rail line to more varied terrain. You’ll find yourself pedaling through open country overlooking westside vistas with breathtaking views that include not just glimpses of the West Teton Range but the history of the area as users go by the Old Pillsbury Mill elevator in France or walk across the historic train trestle across Bitch Creek.

If cycling, expect a demanding ride, especially with the elevation gain, so be prepared for a good workout. For pedestrians and dog walkers, be prepared to watch your distance and know your weather forecast.
