Take a break from the road with a stay at the many area ranches, cabins and campsites along the Snake River to play a round of golf, enjoy a zipline, soak in the hot springs or head into the mountains for mountain biking and skiing at Kelly Canyon, and boundless ATV and dirt biking trails in the Big Holes.
Minutes away, Rigby is about 15 miles northeast of Idaho Falls is a surprising stop off the beaten path, and though outdoor recreation is the cornerstone of Idaho, ingenuity can be found across the gem state. Stop by the Farnsworth TV and Pioneer Museum to learn about the history of television and Philo Farnsworth, the inventor of television.

Big-Time Adventure

Take in your history and then head out to the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area. The floodplain of Market Lake is a stopover and nesting site for migrating waterfowl and shorebirds. It also provides habitat for other wildlife, including trumpeter swans and small mammals. The WMA also provides habitat for 250 wildlife species, from small mammals to moose.The WMA is open to fishing year-round. Most anglers fish for perch and bullhead in the canals and marshes.
Located near Roberts, and you can access Market Lake from exit 135 from Interstate 15, turning east on County Road 627, and then following signs to County Road 800 North.
Roberts has a few other draws, especially the 3rd Saturday of July for Market Lake Day. From food to fireworks, parade to street dance, kids games, live music and vendors this little town comes alive with fun for the whole family.
