Saddle up for a Cowboy Christmas!

From UTV light parades to goat roping, there’s no better way to create new holiday traditions than by heading into the Yellowstone Teton Territory–mistletoe, cowboy boots and all.  

Yes, we said Goat Roping. Nowhere but Idaho can you experience the hands-on challenges of a modern cowboy–or cowgirl–then in this annual extravaganza at Idaho Falls’ Cowboy Warrior Ranch. The evening also comes with a corn hole tournament and brings in a mechanical bull to ring in the new year. 

The second annual UTV Holiday Light Parade will illuminate the Idaho Falls Riverwalk on Friday, December 20, starting at 6:00 p.m. The parade begins at the Mountain America Center, winding around the Riverwalk and returning to the event center approximately an hour and a half later.

Other uniquely Idaho nights out this holiday season that should not be missed are sleigh rides and dinner shows at area ranches like the Linn Canyon Ranch, Mountain River Ranch, and Hansen Guest Ranch. 

This Christmas season at Idaho’s beautiful Mountain River Ranch come visit for our annual Christmas Dinner Shows at the Meadow Event Center. For the Christmas season Mountain River Ranch transforms the Rocky Mountain getaway into a festive mountain retreat, complete with a Christmas western village decorated with Christmas lights, music and a holiday atmosphere. Visitors throughout the holiday season can celebrate the Christmas spirit with a homemade meal followed by a night of music and dance led by the Rawhide & Rosin. These Christmas Dinner Shows have been a must-do holiday tradition in  south-east Idaho for over 30+ years. The dinner shows  begin after Thanksgiving and run through December 28th. 

Another winter classic, Dinner and a Sleigh Ride at the Linn Canyon Ranch is an evening for generations of your family to enjoy. A prix fixe menu accompanies the ranch after dark featuring house specialties such as filet mignon rack of lamb, and grilled king salmon.
