The only plan everyone agrees on for Fourth of July, is making sure you don’t miss out on the fireworks during Fourth of July.

And when the fireworks are the biggest show west of the Mississippi River, you really don’t want to miss out on the 32nd Annual Melaleuca Freedom Celebration. This Idaho Falls spectacle will dazzle spectators of all ages the ground-shaking and adrenaline-filled fireworks display. It’s an absolute must-do in the Yellowstone Teton Territory.

“This show rivals the pyrotechnic giants of Boston, Washington D.C, and Philadelphia, as measured by the sheer number of shells in the air,” said Heather Gobet, a fourth-generation pyrotechnician charged with firing the show.

For Melaleuca Executive Chairman Frank VanderSloot, pyrotechnics have been a passion since his boyhood in northern Idaho. Launching state-of-the-art shells, this dazzling pyrotechnic display is perfectly synchronized to inspiring music and patriotic messages broadcast live on KLCE 97.3 FM.

The Melaleuca Freedom Celebration begins at 9 am with Idaho Falls Independence Day Parade and East Idaho News helicopter rides. Follow that with a stop at Idaho Falls Community Hospital Riverfest and take the kids on helicopter rides and to check out the antique tractor and car display. Mechanical bulls, live music, plenty of food and lots of local vendors round out the day for a full holiday itinerary.
