Thrifter’s Paradise

Best part of adding a few unplanned stops when you’re already on the road: travel clothes. Take advantage of your flexible style and go treasure hunting in the Yellowstone Teton Territory.
A confluence of community driven organizations funded by their partnerships with thrift stores, college kids and high volumes of donations make east Idaho’s thrifting too good to be true—and even better, there are plenty of shops to add to your itinerary.
In Teton Valley, 2nd Act, Lucky Dog and Victor Seconds are great spots to find gear, kids’ gear and more. Finders Keepers in Rigby, Uptown Cheapskate in Ammon, Deseret Industries in Rexburg and St. Vincent de Paul also in Idaho Falls are just few spots to look for retro finds and regional treasures young and old between Rexburg and Idaho Falls. And don’t forget to add the family owned My Thrifty Thrift and Watersprings Thrift to your maps.
Best advice for thrift shopping, don’t go looking for your purchase, let your buys come to you—and check back regularly.
A few more spots to add to your hit list: Watersprings is a trendy thrift store owned by the Watersprings Church of Idaho Falls. They share a space with a small café that serves breakfast items and fresh paninis while you look for a velour jumpsuit. And in Rexburg, local musicians perform at Daisy Links during after hour events every other Thursday night. he entire store is 40% off during events and activities range from karaoke to pot painting (one free plant included). Anyone can rent a booth at Preloved for $25 to sell their clothing or home items. Disco ball and Van Halen tees can be found at Thrifted Lennons.
