Family owned and operated restaurant, bar, hotel and RV park in Swan Valley, Idaho.

If you ever find yourself cruising through Swan Valley or spending the day by the river, Snake River Roadhouse is a must-stop spot. It has that cozy western feel, great food, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. If you’re wondering where it is – it’s right across the street from the famous Berry’s Square Ice Cream.

The Vibe

Snake River Roadhouse has a laid-back western atmosphere that fits perfectly with small-town Idaho charm. Rustic wood interiors, cowboy décor, and friendly folks who make you feel right at home. There are also games to play while you wait for your food. It’s casual, local, and fun—exactly what you want in a road-trip stop.

What We Ordered

The Snake River Stampede

This burger was the star of the show! The Snake River Stampede comes loaded with pulled pork and topped with their homemade mac and cheese sauce. It’s cheesy, smoky, and absolutely delicious. The flavors all worked together perfectly.

The Bison Burger

We also tried the Bison Burger, and it was a hit with my husband and oldest kid. The bison meat was tender, juicy, and not gamey at all—just rich and flavorful. I’m usually a traditional beef burger person, but this one surprised me. I wouldn’t have even known it was bison if they hadn’t told me! It was a dang good burger, and now I can officially say I’ve tried bison.

Sides & More

The fries were homemade and fresh. They also have fry sauce (which is a must in Idaho, of course), and it was spot-on. The younger kids went with classic chicken tenders, and those were just as good—crispy, juicy, and kid-approved.

Final Thoughts

With its hearty food, western charm, and ideal spot right in the heart of Swan Valley, Snake River Roadhouse perfectly captures the spirit of East Idaho. Come hungry, bring the family, and don’t forget to walk across the street afterward for a scoop (or two) at Berry’s Square Ice Cream.
