High Mountain Adventures offers three distinct snowmobile tours that showcase the best of Island Park in winter. One route leads riders through snowy forests to Big Springs, where crystal-clear water bubbles up from the ground and large rainbow trout gather below the surface, with a pass by the historic Johnny Sack’s Cabin along the way. Another focuses on wildlife viewing through the Big Springs and Mack’s Inn area, where moose are often seen moving through quiet meadows and tree-lined trails. For those wanting elevation and views, the final ride climbs toward Two Top Mountain, taking riders past frozen “snow ghost” trees and opening up to sweeping alpine scenery that stretches toward Yellowstone and the surrounding mountain ranges.
