Grand Targhee Resort’s 36th Annual Bluegrass Festival is bringing the most talented acts in the country to the Yellowstone Teton Territory.

The second weekend of August–Sierra Ferrel, Railroad Earth, Mountain Grass Unit and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will all take the Wydaho stage at the base of the Shoshone ski lift on August 7-9. 

Weekend and single day festival tickets are still available with some camping options. Parking passes are still available and a free shuttle runs all weekend long from Teton High School in Driggs. Set against the Teton backdrop at 8,000 feet, this multi-day event features top-tier traditional and contemporary bluegrass, camping, and late-night shows is a coveted weekend for bluegrass fans from around the country.

Live Music Events in Eastern Idaho This August

Idaho Falls’ River Concert Series takes place Tuesday nights in the summer from 7-8 p.m. on the Greenbelt Stage. Free to the public and featuring local and regional musicians, the Idaho Falls Art Council provides the perfect excuse for a picnic instead of dinn each week of the summer. 

On August 13, American alt-country and southern rock band from Hawesville, Kentucky, Ole 60, hits the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls and Music on Main in Teton Valley wraps its summer series with Afrosonics at the Victor City Park. 

Teton Valley’s free music continues at Grand Teton Brewing with local musicians on Wednesdays and Sundays on the lawn–a  great all ages hang out area with great burgers and lots of lawn sports. Downtown Driggs Association brings the High Plains Drifters to the Driggs City Center on August 28.
